I participated in the Trans-Vallée 2011 and it was quite an experience. Three days of racing, camping in the woods, on very technical trails, that's what the Trans-Vallée is all about.
I suffered a lot there!
In particular, on Saturdays, while taking the bus, I chat with another participant. I mention that I was thinking of leaving for an effort of around 3:30 am, because I had estimated that I was going to run around 10 km / h. She and the other participants around, made it clear to me that it was very, very optimistic. In fact, it just wasn't possible. In addition, my hydration pack leaked throughout the race, so I more or less ran out of water between each refueling.
Quite a cross-valley experience!
I register next year it's 100% sure !! A 3-day stage race every true trail runner should try it at least once in their life.
